Join a growing business based in Alexandria, looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Officer to join the team on an initial 6-month contract. This role is a "full-function" support position, ideal for someone who enjoys variety.
With several projects on the horizon, there is a very strong possibility this role will extend or transition into a permanent position for the right candidate.
Working closely with the Finance Manager, your day-to-day will include:
Accounts Payable (AP): Processing high-volume invoices, matching POs, and preparing weekly payment runs.
Accounts Receivable (AR): Issuing invoices, performing credit checks, and conducting polite but effective debt collection.
Reconciliations: Daily bank reconciliations and assisting with month-end balancing.
Administration: Assisting with general finance administration work
Data Entry: Maintaining accuracy within the accounting system.
To hit the ground running, you should bring:
Proven Experience: At least 2+ years in a similar Accounts Assistant or Accounts Officer role.
Technical Skills: Proficiency with Accounting Softwares and the ability to pick up new systems as well as intermediate Excel skills.
Attitude: A down-to-earth, "can-do" attitude. You aren't afraid to roll up your sleeves to help out with admin when needed.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills for professional correspondence with suppliers and clients.
Availability: You must be able to commit to the full 6-month duration and be available to start at short notice. Candidates must have unrestricted working rights as the role may convert to a permanent position.
